PDF files can be read with Adobe Reader available free from or the Preview application supplied with Mac OS.

DOC files can be edited with Microsoft Word, OpenOffice and many other word processors - but we recommend that you use the PDF files for reliability unless you wish to customise the documents.

These require Flash Player 7 (or later) which is available free from

Magazine.xls - spreadsheet for Making and selling a magazine task.

(This should work with either Excel or OpenOffice).

Install the software on other computers

Each of the following contains all the computer-based problems for the five Professional Development modules.

Installer for Windows PCs (Installs everything to the 'Start' menu - no Flash Player needed)
Apple Mac version (OS X only, no Flash Player needed)
Run "offline" in a web browser (Any system with Flash Player 7 or later - copy the files to wherever you want them)


Please try out the software on the same computers which your students will be using well in advance of the lesson.
