Re-introducing the task

With written feedback in question form

Emma begins by re-introducing the task to her pupils, giving them back their previous work with written feedback in the form of questions.

Emma now hands out a poster containing a compilation of the class's first attempts at the task, and invites them to come up with questions for the authors of those responses.

Pupils work in groups to improve their answers

The pupils now work in groups, discussing how they can produce a better response to the task.

Using the progression steps

Pupils assess their own work in terms of the Key Processes

Emma has produced her own version of the 'Progression steps' in pupil-friendly language. The class use these to evaluate and critique their own work.

(You will hear pupils referring to a 'traffic light' system that Emma uses in her lessons to indicate levels of understanding).
